/////////The Process/////////
Each of these dye patterns are done with Japanese Shibori Techniques. Most simply put, Shibori is the art of binding fabric for dying. It had been used for hundreds of years in Japanese culture and I had the pleasure of learning more about this during my stay in Kyoto in later 2022. After binding the fabric and applying dye, the fabric must be specially washed and dried. I prefer sun drying my items as I believe this brings out the best the color. Then comes the process of cutting, sewing and finishing before it is ready for purchase. This item is handmade from start to finish :)
